New Nishkam Healthcare Trust video premiering at SikhLens Festival

In 2025, Nishkam Healthcare Trust was awarded the King’s Award for Voluntary Service. To mark this award, a film has been created to capture the remarkable successes over the years which have led up to this achievement. This film will premier at the 2026 Sikh Lens Festival to be hosted in Leicester on Saturday 27th June.

Nishkam Healthcare Trust, launched in 2012, is continually striving to improve the health of people in the local communities through culturally sensitive, expert-led and accessible key healthcare services. The Centre is supported by a significant community of clinical and professional volunteers across the UK, who are committed to ensuring all are able to access basic healthcare provision, particularly in Handsworth - one of the most deprived areas in the country.

Sikhlens Arts & Film Festivals UK is a registered not-for-profit charity, committed to championing arts, culture, and storytelling to inspire and connect communities. Through their annual film festival and creative programmes, Sikhlens create platforms for diverse voices, deepening awareness and understanding through film, music, and art.
