Our Mission Statement

The Nishkam Dental Care vision places dentistry as a core service of the Nishkam Healthcare Centre.

As part of an integrated approach to healthcare, dentists work alongside other healthcare professionals to highlight where poor oral health may be a sign of, or potential lead to other forms of illnesses such as heart disease and diabetes. Improving patients’ oral health will, in turn, improve their overall health.

Our vision is to prevent and treat diseases relating to the mouth and its associated structures, and to promote a lifestyle that maintains a healthy mind, body and soul encompassing the values and ethos of Nishkam Healthcare Trust.

How we work

Nishkam Dental Care (NDC) is a unique private health care service. All clinical staff work on a volunteer basis, dedicating their time and expertise to provide high quality expert dental care for our patients.

NDC is open to all patients, but we do emphasise that we are not an emergency only service and encourage patients who join to attend on a regular basis for their routine care, which is a cornerstone of our preventative approach.

In line with the values of the Nishkam Healthcare Trust, NDC is a not-for-profit service, and, with its unique and innovative operational model, the service offers patients access to high quality dental care at a budget that suits them.

Although a fee structure does exist, patients are given the choice to contribute what they feel they can afford. Regardless of the fee contribution, the treatment is always carried out to the highest of standards.

Any profits that are generated stay within the service to help fund treatment for those less fortunate and cover the running costs of the service.
