Sukhvinder Singh Atthi BDS MFDS

After qualifying from the University of Birmingham and completing vocational training in 1998, Sukhvinder works at Solihull hospital as a dentist with specialist interests in oral surgery with sedation. He is also a clinical lecturer at the University of Birmingham School of Dentistry, where he teaches undergraduates.
Sukhvinder is also the principle general dental practitioner at a group of three dental surgeries in Birmingham, as well as a Foundation Trainer for newly qualified dentists and dental therapists. He is currently studying on two MSc programmes: Orthodontics and Oral Surgery, and has already gained qualifications in academic teaching, leadership and management including being a dental mentor and coach for the West Midland Postgraduate Deanery.
Sukhvinder has a keen interest in postgraduate teaching and leads courses for his whole dental team. He is a Board member of the West Midlands Faculty of General Dental Practitioners.
Gurcharan Singh Bhamra BDS MFDS PhD

Project roles: Develop an educational platform and study group/peer review group
Having graduated from the University of Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2002, Gurcharan worked as a dental practitioner within the Midlands. He subsequently undertook a PhD at Trinity College Dublin Dental School in Materials Science, which led to a Walport academic training programme as a Lecturer in General Dentistry.
Gurcharan currently works as a Clinical Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at Cardiff Dental School where he teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students, with interests in periodontology, endodontics and prosthodontics.
Bahader Singh Panesar BDS MSc (Rest Dent)
Project role: Design and installation of both the surgery and decontamination room; Marketing and patient recruitment
After qualifying from Cardiff Dental School, Bahader has worked at several dental practices in the south east of England. He is currently working in a mixed NHS/private practice in Surrey where he has the added responsibility postgraduate training. He has completed an MSc in restorative dentistry from the Eastman Dental Institute and has a keen interest in fixed and removable prosthesis, microscope enhanced dentistry, biomimetic, adhesive dentistry and hard/soft tissues lasers.
Taran Singh Taran BDS
Project role: CQC compliance; Recruitment of support staff; External Initiatives – Schools, care homes, domiciliary care.
Having recently graduated from Queen Mary, School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2012, he is currently working as an associate dentist at two practices with Oasis Dental Care limited. He is working as a NHS dentist whilst also carrying out private treatments from time to time. He has further ambitions in the future, to specialise by completing either a diploma or Msc in an area of dentistry, which he finds most interesting. In his spare time he enjoys playing competitive hockey for West Bromwich Hockey Club.
